Getting started

  1. Install Wrist on your iPhone. The Watch app installs on your paired Apple Watch automatically, or from the Watch app's App Store section.
  2. On the Watch, tap the orange orb, say your thought and tap again to finish. Allow microphone access the first time.
  3. The capture appears on your iPhone with a transcript, summary and suggested to-dos.

Common questions

My Watch capture hasn't appeared on my iPhone

Captures wait safely on the Watch until the iPhone confirms it has saved them. Open Wrist on both devices with Bluetooth on and they'll transfer. Nothing is deleted from the Watch until the iPhone has it.

Transcription failed

Wrist transcribes on device. If your iPhone's on-device speech recognition isn't available for your language, Wrist keeps the recording and tells you rather than sending it to a server. Wrist Pro adds downloadable Whisper models, which work on device for more languages.

Summaries say "Local fallback"

Summaries use Apple Intelligence when your iPhone supports it and it's turned on. Otherwise Wrist uses simple on-device rules and labels the capture so you know.

How do I use my own model?

With Wrist Pro, open Settings › Models and choose Your own model. Enter an Anthropic or OpenAI API key, or the address of an OpenAI-compatible server such as Ollama or LM Studio on your Mac. Keys are kept in the iPhone's Keychain. Transcripts and Ask questions are then sent to that server.

How do I connect Obsidian?

With Wrist Pro, open Settings › Obsidian and pick your vault folder in the Files picker. Each capture is written as a Markdown note in a Wrist folder. Wrist never deletes notes from your vault.

Open Settings › Unlock Wrist Pro and tap Restore. Family Sharing is supported, so family members get Pro too.

Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your data

Captures live in Wrist's storage on your iPhone. Delete a capture from its detail screen, or delete the app to remove everything. We hold no copy. See the privacy policy.
